Starr Hospice invites our hospice client families as well as community members who have used our grief support services to a Service of Remembrance. This online program, held via Zoom, is a time to come together to remember our loved ones and find connection in our shared experience of grief. Poems, reflections, and music will accompany our candlelight ceremony and memorial slideshow. Individuals are welcome to participate annually; note that the program is largely the same from year to year.
The next program will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 7 to 8 p.m.

To have your loved one included in the candlelight ceremony slideshow, email their photo and name as it should appear onscreen to kendras@starrhospice.com. The deadline to submit a photo is November 1, 2024.
If you have questions in the meantime, please contact the Grief Support Team at (781) 832-0705 on weekdays, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Is the event participatory in nature?
No, you are viewing a prepared program with pre-arranged speakers and multimedia elements. You will have your computer’s microphone muted, and you may choose to keep your camera on or off, depending on your personal preference.
I cannot attend the living screening on November 14. Is there another way to watch the program?
You may register for an encore viewing to be held on Saturday, November 16, at 10 a.m. PST. Click here to register for this alternative date.
May I invite friends and family?
Yes, you can have other loved ones register themselves on this website. They will receive their own Zoom logon credentials via email.
Why don’t you offer this service in person?
We’ve received mixed opinions on whether to hold this event in person or on Zoom. The benefit of the online format is that we can accommodate more people than we could in an in-person setting. It has been nice to see so many extended family and friends be able to tune in from out of town. We’ve even had participants from Europe join us, despite the time difference.
